3 tips to craft short, powerful email messages in very little time – and you don’t even have to know how to write!

How do you craft powerful emails?

If you’re just getting the memo on how amazing emails are for your business, then WELCOME TO THE CLUB! It’s never too late to start.

When it comes to marketing and increasing your sales, emails are a goldmine that not just help you to communicate with your customers but also help you to brand your business in your customers’ minds. 


This means that your customers stay loyal to you and will always come back running to your brand when they need a product or service that you offer!

In my previous article, I talked about how you can use emails to reach even more customers, thereby increasing your sales and profits. However, it’s not by composing one error-filled message that you will achieve this O! 

The good news is that you don’t have to be Wole Soyinka before you write or craft engaging mails that will draw more customers to you. 

With these tips, you will be able to write catchy emails to increase your sales and make your customers loyal;

1. Use catchy subject headings;

“20 % DISCOUNT ONLY TODAY FOR THE FIRST 50 CUSTOMERS TO BUY…” is a very catchy heading that will make almost anyone click on that message and engage with it.


Now, you don’t always have to use “awoof” to attract attention but what you can do is to ask yourself “If I see a mail with this subject heading, will I want to open it?” Start from there!

N.B – Keep in mind that the subject is shortened when thee mail hasn’t been opened so the first four or five words have to be very catchy. 

2. Make genuine offers…

…in your emails but don’t overdo it just to attract customers. 

Asides from giving your customers new deals and offers you can also give them free information, DIY, tips and tricks to help them in their daily life. 
There’s already a lot of information out there so make sure to make yours different by giving truthful and genuine information!

All these are ways to spice up your messages and make your customers value you even more! 

3. Divide your email list… 

…into different groups and send them mails according to this. 

For example, you can divide them into prospective and existing customers or even divide them into regular and VIP customers based on their purchasing power!

This will help you to send emails based on the different ranges of customers you have because one discount offer may not appeal to all kinds of customers that you have!

4. Send emails regularly…

But not so much that it becomes spam. 

Give your customers some breathing space so that they will be excited when they do receive another mail from you. 
You can even plan it out and send mails every week or maybe 6 times a month – all based on your choice and type of business.

And you’re on your way to composing amazing emails to market and sell your product or service better!
