3 Paid Ways To Drive Traffic to Your Shop Online

In my other article, I suggested three ways you can drive traffic to your new site for free. There is only so much that free traffic can do. What’s more, it requires a lot of energy and consistency to keep sharing and promoting.

That’s why I have decided to also compliment that article with ways you can pay if you don’t mind spending some cash to drive traffic to your website and business. These methods will cost you not just money but time as well, as you have to monitor the progress of your investment; however, they are more result-driven and you will see a steady increase in traffic as well as sales.

Let’s get into it, shall we? The top three paid ways to drive traffic to your website are:

1. Pay influencers to promote your product (Sponsored posts)

This is one of the most common and easy ways to promote your product and website traffic as well. Influencers are popular figures who have a huge following on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. What you do is source for someone who influences your particular field, for example find a hair influencer if you are trying to promote a wig or hair beautifying product. However, there are a lot of influencers who are generally influential irrespective of the field. 

Once these influencers advertise your product or service how you want them to, their followers automatically pick an interest in you and this translates to more traffic, sales or whatever it is that you want.

2. Run ads on Facebook, Instagram & Google

Facebook, Instagram and Google ads are a sure way to attract steady traffic to your website.
These adverts help you to choose your target audience and show your products or service to these target audiences. These audiences are targeted based on their activities online, location, age, gender and other criteria that ties them to the need for your product or service.

This way, they save you the stress by ensuring that your product or service is seen by the people who need them and this increases the chances of these people patronizing you. 

3. Run banner ads on other popular sites

Ever been to a popular website and it seems like there are more adverts than there are content? Well, that may likely be a popular website. Popular sites have large readership or followership so you can place banner adverts (like flyers) on these websites in order to get traffic from their site to yours.

This method is very effective because if you manage to get people from that site to yours, then you are most likely retaining them as your own customers; depending on how well you run your own website. 

With these tips, you should have made up your mind by now on which paid method may be most effective for you.
If you are a small business, you may want to start running Facebook ads first instead of jumping right to paying influencers as this will allow you to work with small budgets as low as $5 to test adverts with.
Note, this does not mean it will cost you only $5, but I’ll explain better in my next article.
